Summer’s sun, heat and pesky insects can combine to stress the skin and make us want to retreat to the indoors. But why miss out on the fun and healthy benefits of being outside? This cooling, hydrating and soothing mist will make it a more pleasant experience. It’s simple to make with ingredients readily available from your local drug or grocery stores. I like to keep my bottles in the refrigerator for an extra cooling effect. Going on a picnic? Place your bottle in the ice cooler – you’ll be the most popular person there; You brought the COOL!
4 ounces distilled water
4 ounces witch hazel
32 drops of lavender essential oil
16 drops of peppermint essential oil
1 – 8 ounce (or 2 – 4 ounce) spray mister bottle(s)
Method: Pour water and witch hazel in the bottle(s). Add the essential oils and shake well to mix. Be sure to shake well before use to keep the mixture blended. Mist lightly over exposed skin – keeping away from face, eyes and mouth. Enjoy!
